#505 Siberian Elm Bowl

This petite bowl is a quiet rebellion against convention, and a beautiful one.

Siberian elm, often overlooked in the turning world, takes centre stage here. Its wild, expressive grain and natural bark inclusions are left unapologetically intact, celebrating the character that makes this wood so compelling. Cast into food-grade epoxy resin pigmented with a luminous, glistening yellow, the elm is framed rather than tamed. The resin catches the light like warm sunshine, amplifying the wood’s movement and giving the piece a joyful, almost molten glow.

The result is a bowl that feels both organic and contemporary. Earthy textures meet radiant colour. Familiar form meets unexpected material choice. It is a reminder that beauty often lives in the places others overlook.

Perfect as a small serving bowl, a statement catch-all, or a sculptural accent piece, this bowl invites closer inspection and rewards it every time.
