This very special urn was commissioned by a family who's loved one appreciated the beauty of looking through the trees at a turquoise lake while the sun was setting, which is represented in the colours of this urn. A pinecone was added to the inside bottom to represent the forest floor.
" It took my breath away - it’s beyond my expectations. He’s captured the colours so perfectly. So meaningful and gives me comfort” Beverley F. - Lillooet, BC
About our Unique Urns
Choosing an urn for a departed loved one can be a tough decision at a difficult time. However, having a custom-made urn by an artist is a wonderful way to memorialize your loved one. It also takes the pressure off of having to shop for just the right urn. A custom urn by Dave at Art Is Brewin, is truly unique and personalized. He always feels honoured when asked to do an urn commission and puts his heart into every aspect of the project. He approaches every urn with love and compassion for both the person requesting the urn, and the person or animal whose ashes will rest inside.
Paying Homage to the True Nature of Your Loved One
An Urn created by Dave will be a one-of-a-kind, original urn that will capture the character of the departed, as per the details and direction provided. He will also add his artistic flair, making the urn even more special.
What the Urn is Made From
Pigmented epoxy resin is the main component, which offers a multitude of colour choices. After which, any organic material can be added, provided it is dry and able to blend with the epoxy resin. If you have something special to add to the urn, Dave will do whatever is possible to make it work. If you wish to use only coloured resin, that is also an option.
If you are interested in a custom urn that is unique in every way, call Dave or use the Contact Artist page to reach out and start the discussion.
